Lahore Heat: Protecting Your MacBook from Overheating

Lahore summers regularly push ambient temperatures past 45°C, and a closed MacBook in a hot car or on a bed cover can hit thermal junction limits in under ten minutes. Sustained throttling above 95°C accelerates thermal paste dry-out, fan-bearing wear, and battery swelling.

Our recommended summer service interval is every 12-18 months for daily-driven Macs in Lahore: full disassembly, dust removal from fan blades and heatpipe fins, and replacement of CPU/GPU thermal compound with PTM7950 or Honeywell PTM7950 equivalent.

Symptoms that mean it's time: fan audibly running at idle, palm-rest warmer than usual, kernel_task pegging CPU, or shutdowns under light load. A thermal service at our lab takes under an hour and runs PKR 5-12k depending on chassis.
