M4 MacBook Pro: Common Logic Board Failures and Solutions

Apple's M4 logic boards introduce a denser ePackage layout and tighter BGA reflow tolerances than M2/M3. The most common failures we see at our Gulberg lab are GPU hot-spot fractures (after sustained thermal throttling), USB-C controller ICs damaged by uncertified chargers, and battery-management IC drift after liquid ingress.

Component-level repair is almost always faster and cheaper than the full board-swap Apple's authorised partners prescribe. Our standard process: ultrasonic clean → thermal imaging diagnostic → reflow or chip-level replacement → 24-hour stress test → 90-day warranty.

If your M4 Pro is showing display artifacts, fan ramp without load, or refusing to charge above a certain percentage, those are board-level symptoms — bring it in for a free diagnosis before any chip replacement is committed.
